Answer #1

WRONG

Statement #1: As a credit user, I can access my own credit for review and it does not affect my credit scores.

Answer:  Credit inquiries are factored into the credit scoring modules because the scorers felt that it was a negative thing when consumers were trying to extent their credit.  This is especially true when consumers reach out for expanded credit many times in a short period of time because it indicates there might be a looming financial problem.

However, because consumers cannot extend credit to themselves, this becomes a false presumption.  Accordingly, credit scorers will not count your personal credit inquiry against you.  In fact, it makes great sense for consumers to check their credit history and scores once or twice a year to make sure their credit history is accurate.
